LSR Media House CIC is a South London research and community organisation. We study what others overlook, and we build what the system doesn't offer.
01 — Who We Are
LSR stands for Love, Strength, Rebellion. We're a Community Interest Company registered in 2025, built on the principle that the people most affected by broken systems are also the people best placed to study, understand, and change them.
We sit at the intersection of AI ethics, equitable research, and community care. Our methodology is lived experience, not assumption. Our frame is melanated — which means it honours all lenses, beginning from the one most often left out.
Founder Jermaine A. Johnson (The Architect of Soul and Systems) built this company from pressure, not privilege. South London. Jamaican roots. Neurodivergent. The work carries all of that — and transforms it.
02 — What We Do
LSR operates through Research and Community simultaneously — not as separate divisions, but as two sides of the same practice.
01 — Research
We build research methodologies and tools that centre the knowledge, experience, and dignity of marginalised communities. We study how AI affects human beings — especially Black and melanated people. We generate evidence that carries texture, not just numbers.
02 — Community
We facilitate men's wellness circles. We partner with community organisations doing frontline work. We bring research frameworks into spaces where they can actually help — not as academic export, but as tools built alongside the people using them.

03 — The Lens
Every research tradition begins somewhere. Every technology is designed by someone. Most of the frameworks that govern our lives — in healthcare, finance, education, housing — were designed by people who did not look like us, from experiences that did not include us.
LSR's work starts from a different origin. The melanated lens doesn't mean exclusion — it means beginning from the perspective most often left at the door. From there, we build systems and methodologies that are more honest, more complete, and more useful for everyone.
This is not a diversity statement. It is a worldview. Humanitarian forward. Rooted in ancestry, alive in the present, building toward a future where no community has to fight for the legitimacy of their experience.

04 — Active Work
Live programmes, active research, and published work — all running simultaneously.

We facilitate regular wellness circles for Black men in South London — at Honor Oak and beyond. These are not therapy groups. They are structured, facilitated spaces where men can think together without performance. The data from these circles informs our research and our community practice simultaneously.
Live Programme02
Our flagship research methodology: choice-based interactive narrative that studies how people from diasporic communities navigate institutional spaces — banks, healthcare, housing, legal systems. Currently piloting Fragment One (The Bank) with NHS SEL Research Engagement Network partnership established for Fragment Two.
Active Research03
We are conducting original research into what happens when AI systems are designed from the beginning with care as the structural principle — not as an add-on, not as a safety layer. This includes the Claude-0 research thread, partnerships with Black AI UK, and developing frameworks for AI that begins from a more human starting point.
